Pennsylvania Lottery Game Categories

There are various categories of games you can play to win on the Pennsylvania Lottery. From the homepage, you can select from five categories listed across the main menu bar. Here’s a list of each of the categories of games, plus a brief description to give you an idea of what’s under each tab.

Draw Games

The first category is where the big million dollar jackpots happen. This is the category of games where numbers are drawn. You can think of the traditional ping pong balls going round-and-round in a big clear drum.

Numbers in Pennsylvania Lottery Draw Games are random. You select a preset number of numbers depending on the game. There are four daily draw games, the Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 4 and Pick 5. Each of these draw games has a new feature called the Wild Ball.

Wild Balls can replace any number drawn to make your ticket a winner. The Wild Ball is drawn first each night before the Pick numbers are selected. There are three additional draw games, Cash4Life, Cash 5 and the popular Match 6.

To go for the big cash with every drawing, you can play the $20 per ticket Millionaire Raffle. There is a chance to win one of four $1 million top prizes. Additional prize awards for matching numbers at four levels, including four $100,000 second prize awards.

Of course, there are the big national draw games. You can purchase your numbers for the Mega Millions or the Powerball draws. Each of these draw games happens twice per week.

Scratch-Offs

Next, we move across the menu line to the right and look at the Scratch-Offs tab. The Pennsylvania Lottery currently has 46 exciting scratch-off game opportunities online. Five of these are new games.

Pennsylvania Lottery online scratch-off games are easy to play using your computer mouse or your finger on a mobile device. There are demonstrations so you can practice before you play for real.

All you have to do is move the pointer over a scratch-off portion of the online game card. It acts exactly like you’re revealing the numbers for real on a scratch-off ticket you hold in your hand.

The five new scratch-off games are Gnome Me the Money, Time to Get Paid, Ca$h Craze, Plu$ the Money, $1,000,000 Riches. Cost of each ticket ranges from $1 for Gnome Me the Money to $20 for the $1,000,000 Riches tickets.

The rest of the scratch-off games are Bang Boom Ka-Pow, Lucky Bucks, Dublin Dollars, James Bond 007™ and Hearts. Lucky Bucks, Dublin Dollars and James Bond 007™ are all second-chance scratch-off games. Tickets cost between $1 and $10.

You can purchase different scratch-off games by going through one of the five pages. Just click on the arrow below the game board list or click on a page number. Pennsylvania scratch-off tickets cost as little as a dollar or as much as $30 for games such as the $3,000,000 Diamond Dazzler.

Fast Play

There are over two-dozen games under the Fast Play menu tab. Fast Play is new to the Pennsylvania Lottery. The games play just like scratch-off games, but you do not have to scratch anything to reveal winners.

All you have to do to play is pick one of the Fast Play games. The tickets are printed on-demand as soon as you buy them. To win, simply follow the easy instructions on each of the Fast Play tickets. You can double-check winners at any ticket checker or using the PA iLottery app.
